PM Modi’s Historic Arrival in Ayodhya for Ram Temple Consecration

Ayodhya: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival in Ayodhya marks a momentous occasion, aligning with the upcoming consecration of the Ram Temple on January 22. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with other dignitaries, welcomed the PM as he landed in the temple town.

During his visit, PM Modi is scheduled to launch and lay the foundation stones for developmental projects totaling ₹15,700 crores. Among these initiatives are the inauguration of Ayodhya Airport, now named Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, and the unveiling of Ayodhya Dham Junction railway station. The significance of these projects is heightened, considering Ayodhya’s central role in the cultural and religious heritage of India.

“In addition to these infrastructure projects, the Prime Minister will flag off six Vande Bharat and two Amrit Bharat trains, marking a significant step in advancing rail connectivity in the region. The launch of these initiatives is anticipated to contribute to the overall progress and accessibility of Ayodhya”.

As Ayodhya prepares for the historic consecration of the Ram Temple, a seven-day ceremony commencing on January 16, the city is adorned with enthusiasm and anticipation. The consecration ceremony will culminate in the installation of a 51-inch-tall idol of Lord Ram, depicting his five-year-old self, inside the grand temple’s sanctum sanctorum.

The selection of the idol’s design, determined through a vote, adds a participatory element to the spiritual proceedings. The Ram Janmbhoomi Teertha Kshetra trust unanimously chose a design for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, symbolizing a collective step toward the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream for millions of devotees.

PM Modi’s visit and the subsequent developments underscore Ayodhya’s transformation into a hub of progress while preserving its cultural and religious significance. As the city gears up for the consecration, these initiatives usher in a new era of growth and connectivity, leaving an indelible mark on the sacred landscape of Ayodhya.
