Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi delivered a pivotal address at the B20 Summit India 2023 in New Delhi. Acknowledging the celebratory mood induced by the Chandrayaan Mission’s recent success, Prime Minister Modi emphasized India’s accomplishments, noting its emergence as one of the four countries globally to achieve a soft landing on the moon, distinguishing India as the sole nation to land on the moon’s south pole.
Highlighting the theme of sustainability, the Prime Minister spoke on the importance of collaboration to address global challenges such as climate change, energy crises, and cyber security. He stressed the need for businesses to shift from a profit-centric approach to focusing on shared prosperity and ethical AI development.
PM Modi underscored India’s dedication to inclusiveness, demonstrated by its invitation to the African Union for permanent seats at the G20 and prioritizing African economic development in B20 discussions. He urged businesses to embrace a pro-planet approach, recognizing the irreversible disruption caused by the pandemic and the role of businesses in ensuring environmental responsibility.
