On the 15th of July, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he expressed gratitude to Crown Prince HH Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the warm reception at the airport. This visit aims to further enhance the already strong bilateral relations between India and the UAE.
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement highlighting the significance of the visit. As part of the official visit, PM Modi will meet and hold discussions with the President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The ministry emphasized that the comprehensive strategic partnership between India and the UAE has been steadily strengthening.
During the visit, both nations will explore avenues to further advance this partnership in various sectors, including energy, education, healthcare, food security, fintech, defense, and culture. The discussions will focus on identifying ways to deepen collaboration and cooperation, paving the way for mutual growth and development.
Moreover, the visit provides an opportunity for India and the UAE to discuss cooperation on global issues, particularly in light of the UAE’s presidency of COP28 of the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) and India’s G-20 presidency, in which the UAE is a special invitee. This presents a platform to align efforts on shared global challenges and contribute to sustainable development.
