Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-day visit to Gujarat on October 30 and 31, where he will partake in various significant events and inaugurate several key projects aimed at boosting the state’s development.
Day 1: October 30, Mehsana
On October 30, beginning at approximately 10:30 AM, Prime Minister Modi will pay his respects at the Ambaji Temple, a sacred site in the state. Following this, around noon, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for a range of development initiatives in Mehsana. These projects, collectively valued at around Rs. 5800 crores, span diverse sectors, including rail, road, drinking water, and irrigation.
Projects to be inaugurated and dedicated to the nation include the New Bhandu-New Sanand(N) section of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC), the doubling of Viramgam – Samakhiali rail line, the Katosan Road- Bechraji – Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL Siding) Rail Project, the project for the recharge of various village lakes in Vijapur and Mansa talukas of Mehsana and Gandhinagar districts, the Valasana barrage on the Sabarmati river in Mehsana District, schemes for provisioning of drinking water in Palanpur, Banaskantha, and the Dharoi dam-based Palanpur lifeline project, including Head Work (HW) and a water treatment plant with an 80 MLD capacity.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for projects that include providing irrigation facilities in Santrampur taluka of Mahisagar District, widening and strengthening of Naroda – Dehgam – Harsol – Dhansura Road in Sabarkantha, the Kalol Nagarpalika Sewerage and Septage Management project in Gandhinagar District, and sewage treatment plants in Siddhpur (Patan), Palanpur (Banaskantha), Bayad (Aravalli), and Vadnagar (Mehsana).
Day 2: October 31, Kevadia
On October 31, at approximately 8 AM, Prime Minister Modi will visit Kevadia, where he will offer floral tributes at the Statue of Unity and participate in Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations. This day holds special significance as it marks the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, celebrated as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas to promote national unity and integrity.
The Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Parade will feature marching contingents from the Border Security Force (BSF) and various state police, including a daredevil show by all-women CRPF Bikers, a women’s pipe band of BSF, a choreographed performance by Gujarat women police, a special NCC show, school band displays, an Indian Air Force flypast, and a showcase of the economic viability of vibrant villages.
In Kevadia, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects valued at Rs. 160 crore. These projects encompass the Heritage Train from Ekta Nagar to Ahmedabad, the Narmada Aarti live project, Kamalam Park, a walkway within the Statue of Unity, 30 new e-buses, 210 e-bicycles, and multiple Golf Carts, as well as the City Gas Distribution Network at Ekta Nagar and ‘Sahkar Bhawan’ of the Gujarat State Cooperative Bank. He will also lay the foundation stone for the Sub-District Hospital with a Trauma Center and a Solar Panel at Kevadia.
