PM Swamitva Yojana: Uttar Pradesh to Bestow Land Ownership Rights on 1.25 Crore Families

In a significant stride towards empowering and uplifting the marginalized sections of society, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has unveiled ambitious plans for the state’s residents. Speaking at the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe Conference held at the Numaish Ground in Aligarh, the Chief Minister announced that 1.25 crore families in the state will be granted ownership rights of leased land by December this year, as part of the PM Swamitva Yojana. This landmark initiative reflects a commitment to ensuring the dignity and progress of every citizen.

Empowering Through Land Ownership

The PM Swamitva Yojana, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to transform the lives of countless families across Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the government’s dedication to the upliftment of its citizens. He stated, “Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the country has embarked on a remarkable journey of transformation & development in the last nine and a half years.” This journey has fostered a new India where every section of society can progress with dignity, unburdened by the shackles of caste, creed, religion, region, or language. The motto “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” (Development for All) guides the path forward.

Historic Land Ownership Initiative

Notably, the Chief Minister pointed out that Uttar Pradesh had already made substantial progress in this endeavor. To date, approximately 75 lakh families in the state have been granted possession of their land. The government’s concerted efforts are set to result in the ownership rights of leased land being bestowed upon 1.25 crore families in Uttar Pradesh by December 2023.

This initiative holds the potential to transform the socio-economic landscape of the state, ensuring a more secure and prosperous future for countless families. Through the PM Swamitva Yojana, the state takes a significant step towards empowering its citizens and eradicating long-standing barriers to economic and social growth.

Transformation in the Lives of Marginalized Communities

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also acknowledged the positive changes brought about in the lives of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe individuals. He noted that before 2017, these communities often grappled with identity crises. However, the joint efforts of the government, led by Prime Minister Modi, have ushered in a new era where such identity crises are no longer a burden.

A Harmonious Society

The Chief Minister stressed that the government’s endeavors are dedicated to creating a harmonious society, reflecting the ideals of “Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat” envisioned by Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. He further highlighted the ongoing construction of the grand temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya, signifying the state’s deep-rooted commitment to cultural and spiritual heritage. Notable changes have also occurred at Baba Vishwanath Dham, reinforcing the state’s cultural and religious significance.

Ensuring Safety and Progress

The Chief Minister took the opportunity to underline the government’s commitment to ensuring security and effectively implementing various schemes, ensuring the peaceful celebration of festivals across the state. As a demonstration of his dedication to infrastructure development, Chief Minister Adityanath inspected the construction of the Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University in Aligarh. During the inspection, he urged the completion of the project on time, without compromising on the quality of work.

The initiatives announced and undertaken by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, especially the PM Swamitva Yojana, underscore the government’s commitment to equitable progress and empowerment, making Uttar Pradesh a more inclusive and prosperous state for all its residents.
