In a special ceremony at St. Andrew Hall in the Kremlin, H.E. Mr. Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, bestowed Russia’s highest national award, “The Order of St. Andrew the Apostle,” on Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The prestigious award, announced in 2019, honors Modi’s significant contribution to strengthening India-Russia relations.

Dedication to India-Russia Friendship

Upon accepting the award, PM Modi dedicated it to the people of India & the long-standing friendship between the two nations. He emphasized that this recognition highlights the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between India and Russia, reflecting both countries’ deep and historic ties.
