The accident occurred on the Ambala-Delhi Highway near Mohra, involving a traveler trolley carrying a family from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, en route to Vaishno Devi darshan. At around 2 o’clock in the night, tragedy struck as the trolley collided, resulting in the loss of seven lives, including a six-month-old girl, and leaving 20 individuals injured.
The impact of the collision was devastating, with a part of the traveler trolley severely damaged and the injured scattered along the highway. Passers-by rushed to aid the victims, extracting the injured and facilitating their transfer to Cantonment Civil Hospital and Adesh Hospital via ambulance, with the assistance of the police.
As investigations into the accident commence, injured survivor Dheeraj recounted the harrowing experience, revealing that the family had embarked on their journey to Vaishno Devi the previous evening. Tragically, their pilgrimage was interrupted by the unforeseen collision, leaving them grappling with unimaginable grief and pain.
