On the 29th of December, “President Droupadi Murmu visited the Statue of Equality in Hyderabad. Dedicated to the saint and philosopher Sri Ramanujacharya, it is a symbol of his principles of social harmony and equality among all human beings”.
Know About the Statue of Equality:-
Statue of Equality Located in Hyderabad, the Statue of Samata is a 216-foot statue of the 11th-century Vaishnava saint Ramanujacharya. The statue is also called Ramanuja. The Chinna Jeeyar Trust is located in Muchintala, Hyderabad.
This idol was made to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of his birth. This has cost 1000 crore. Bhagavad Ramanuja believed that all people are equal in the eyes of God and that God loves everyone equally. He was opposed to the inequalities based on class, caste, and gender that were prevalent in society at that time.
The inauguration of the “Statue of Equality” is a part of the ongoing 1000th birth anniversary celebrations of Ramanujacharya i.e. the 12-day long Sri Ramanuja Sahasrabdi celebrations.
