President Droupadi Murmu met the winners of the T20 World Cup for the Blind 2022 at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The President congratulated the Indian Cricket team for making the country proud. She said that their courage and determination will motivate people to excel despite challenges.
India won the 3rd T20 World Cup for Blind by defeating Bangladesh by 120 runs in the final played at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Karnataka on 17 December 2022. India won its third title in 2012 and 2017.
The Third T20 World Cup for the Blind was held in India from December 6-17, 2022. The tournament saw competitors from India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Australia, Bangladesh, and South Africa. The Indian government denied the Pakistan team a visa.
