Odisha: From 10th November onwards president Draupadi Murmu is on a visit to Odisha state to take a look at the development and education system, cultural activity, etc of the state of Odisha.
Governor of Odisha Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan received President Droupadi Murmu on her arrival in Bhubaneswar. She was given a guard of honor.
During her visit, today she went to the Sri Jagannath Temple, Puri and she shared a post on her social media.
In her tweet she wrote, ” President Droupadi Murmu partook of Mahaprasad of Sri Jagannath Temple, Puri, shortly after she visited the shrine.”
Droupadi Murmu is an Indian politician who became the 15th President of India on 25 July 2022. She is the first tribal person and the second woman after Pratibha Patil to hold the office.
She is also the youngest person to occupy the post of President and the first President born in Independent India. She served as the ninth governor of Jharkhand between 2015 and 2021 and held various portfolios in the cabinet of the Government of Odisha between 2000 and 2004 prior to her presidency.
