Bus Fire Incident: President Droupadi Murmu expressed profound sorrow upon learning about the devastating bus fire incident that occurred on the Kundali-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway in Haryana. The incident, which claimed the lives of at least nine individuals and left several others injured, has left the nation in mourning.
In a statement, the President conveyed his deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the tragic accident. He empathized with the pain and grief of the affected families, recognizing the profound loss they are enduring.
The President also extended his heartfelt wishes for the swift recovery of all those injured in the incident. As the injured passengers receive medical treatment, the President urged authorities to provide them with the best possible care and assistance.
The ill-fated bus, reportedly carrying around 60 pilgrims from Punjab and Chandigarh, had embarked on a journey from Mathura-Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh and was en route to Chandigarh. The tragedy struck near the Dhulawat toll plaza around 2:30 am, engulfing the bus in flames.
Authorities, including the police and firefighters, promptly responded to the scene, deploying rescue efforts to save as many lives as possible. Nuh superintendent of police (SP) Narender Bijarniya confirmed the swift arrival of police teams and firefighters, underscoring the immediate response to the tragic incident.
