Prime Minister Announces Financial Relief for Mumbai Fire Victims.

In a heartfelt response to the devastating fire incident in Mumbai’s Goregaon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his condolences to the affected families and announced crucial financial aid to provide support during this challenging time.

The Prime Minister’s Office shared a tweet that read, “Pained by the loss of lives due to a fire mishap in Mumbai’s Goregaon. Condolences to the bereaved families. I pray that the injured recover soon. Authorities are providing all possible assistance to those affected.”

The tragic incident had taken a toll on several lives, leaving families grieving and survivors in need of medical care. In recognition of the hardship faced by the victims and their families, Prime Minister Modi has taken swift action to offer financial assistance.

As a part of this aid package, the next of kin of each deceased individual will receive an ex-gratia payment of Rs. two lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). This financial support aims to alleviate the immediate financial burden and provide some solace to the grieving families.

Additionally, those who sustained injuries in the fire will also receive financial aid, with each injured person receiving Rs. 50,000. This gesture underscores the government’s commitment to helping those affected by the tragedy to recover and rebuild their lives.
