Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Bodeli, Chhota Udaipur, Gujarat, to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various development projects, collectively valued at more than Rs 5200 crores. These initiatives encompass the ‘Mission Schools of Excellence,’ ‘Vidya Samiksha Kendra 2.0,’ and several other essential infrastructure projects.
In his address to the gathering, Prime Minister Modi reminisced about his longstanding connection to the region and his early days as a political worker in the area. He expressed joy at witnessing the positive impact of schemes he initiated during his tenure and highlighted the importance of education, housing, and clean water for the underprivileged.
Prime Minister Modi emphasized that the government’s mission is to provide housing and clean water to all, with an emphasis on empowering women by naming houses in their names. He also lauded the success of programs such as the Jal Jeevan Mission, which provided 10 crore new water connections across the country.
“Addressing the educational sector, the Prime Minister discussed the significant strides made in recruiting teachers, constructing classrooms, and establishing educational institutions in tribal areas. He emphasized the transformative power of education and how it benefits talented students and those who lack resources”.
Prime Minister Modi also discussed the National Education Policy’s significance, particularly in promoting education in the mother tongue for tribal students. He highlighted initiatives like PM SHRI Schools, Eklavya Residential Schools, and Atal Tinkering Labs that are making a positive impact on tribal education.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of skill development, mentioning Kaushal Vikas Kendras and Mudra Yojna, which offer collateral-free loans for entrepreneurship. He also highlighted the PM Vishwakarma Yojna and the increased budget allocation for tribal communities.
Prime Minister Modi concluded by expressing his commitment to ensuring the rights of tribal communities, women, and marginalized groups. He emphasized the significance of the Narishakti Vandan Adhiniyam and the opportunities it provides for women’s participation in Parliament and Assembly.
