An Indian actor and model who works in Hindi cinema and television, Pulkit Samrat was born on 29 December 1983.
Pulkit Samrat was born into a Punjabi Hindu family in Delhi, where his family has a real estate business. He studied at Manav Sthali School and Montfort Senior Secondary School in Delhi before joining an advertising course at Apeejay Institute of Design.
He received a modelling assignment after studying for five months. He thereafter shifted to Mumbai and joined an acting course run by Kishore Namit Kapoor, quitting his education.
In 2012, Samrat made his debut with a romantic comedy film Bitto Boss, in which he played the role of a wedding videographer from Punjab, alongside Amita Pathak. He played the lead role of Hunny in the ensemble comedy film Fukrey in 2013.
He appeared in a cameo role as a police inspector in Jai Ho in 2014. He played the lead in O Teri, opposite Bilal Amrohi and Sarah Jane Dias, which was produced by Atul Agnihotri. His first film in 2015 was Arbaaz Khan’s Dolly Ki Doli opposite Sonam Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao.
