The Enforcement Directorate’s Headquarters office recently apprehended Punit Kumar, alias Puneet Maheshwari, a cyber fraudster hailing from Moti Nagar, Delhi, on April 3, 2024. The arrest took place at the Arrival Hall, Terminal-3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, while Kumar was in transit from Nepal.
Subsequently, he was presented before the Hon’ble Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) Court in New Delhi on the same day. The court granted the Enforcement Directorate custody of Kumar for a period of 9 days, extending until April 9, 2024, to facilitate further investigation into the cyber fraud allegations.
