Ayodhya: In preparation for the much-anticipated consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the Indian Railways is set to launch 1000 special trains from various corners of the country. The announcement was made by Railway Board Chairman Jaya Verma Sinha during her inspection visit to Ayodhya, Ramghat Halt, and Katra Railway Station in Gonda district.
“Scheduled to commence on January 19, these special trains aim to facilitate devotees’ travel to Ayodhya for darshan of Ramlala and will operate for approximately a hundred days. Jaya Verma Sinha emphasized that the operation of these trains would be adjusted based on demand, with additional special trains arranged if needed due to high passenger numbers”.
Railway authorities are taking proactive measures to accommodate the expected influx of devotees for the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha program. Verma Sinha disclosed that the Railways is actively decorating stations around Ramnagari, anticipating thousands of devotees from major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Kolkata, Nagpur, Jammu, Punjab, and Haryana.
“Acknowledging the surging pilgrim count, currently at 50,000 daily visitors to Ayodhya, the Railways is installing signage in different languages to facilitate devotees’ navigation. Indicators in Tamil, Telugu, English, Gujarati, and Marathi will be strategically placed in Ramnagari, ensuring devotees from various linguistic backgrounds can easily access information”.
With meticulous planning underway, the Railways is focused on ensuring a seamless and hassle-free travel experience for devotees attending the historic event. As the consecration ceremony draws near, the Railways remains committed to providing efficient transportation solutions to accommodate the spiritual journey of devotees from across the nation.
