An Indian wrestler, Rajiv Tomar, was born on December 31, 1980. After representing India in the men’s freestyle 120 kg category at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, he lost to Steve Mocco of the United States in qualifications.

He is from the Baghpat district in Uttar Pradesh. He won the Arjun Award in 2010 for Wrestling. He won the Indian-style wrestling event, Hind Kesari.

Rajiv won a Silver Medal in the Men’s freestyle 125 kg wrestling event in the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

He has won the Bharat Kesari title 32 times. He was taught Kushti by Coach Shri Mahasingh Rao in Guru Hanuman Akhara.

In 1998, he won a bronze medal in the Asian Championship. He was a powerful wrestler with 120 kg in India and the world. In 2005, he won a silver medal in Oman.

He won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Canada in 2007. Arjun Award was conferred upon him in 2010. He is a wrestler who specializes in Indian Style Dangal wrestling. In 2011, he married a Professor at Delhi University.

Rajeev Tomar won silver in the men’s 125 kg freestyle match at the Commonwealth Games in 2014.
