Defense Minister Rajnath Singh Offers Prayers at Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh fulfilled a heartfelt desire as he visited the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain. Sharing his sentiments, Singh remarked, “I was waiting for a long time to visit Baba Mahakal. Today I got this opportunity. My life has been blessed.”

Worship at the Sanctum Sanctorum

Accompanied by Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan and Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, Rajnath Singh entered the sanctum sanctorum of the world-famous Mahakal temple. He offered prayers and sought blessings for the happiness, prosperity, and good health of all Indians, emphasizing the temple’s significance as a “center of spiritual consciousness for India.”

A Prayerful Moment in Nandi Hall

Following his worship in the sanctum, Singh reached the Nandi Hall, where he prayed to Baba Mahakal with folded hands. Minister in-charge Gautam Tetwal, MP Anil Ferozia, and Rajya Sabha member Umesh Nath Maharaj joined the occasion, adding to the sanctity of the moment.

Madhya Pradesh Tour Highlights

Rajnath Singh’s visit to the Mahakal temple was part of his two-day tour of Madhya Pradesh. Before reaching Ujjain, he attended programs in Indore and Mhow, reflecting his commitment to connecting with spiritual and regional communities.

As Singh left the temple, he expressed gratitude for the divine experience, concluding with a heartfelt prayer for the nation: “Jai Mahakal!” His visit underscored the enduring spiritual traditions that continue to inspire India’s leaders.
