Raksha Mantri launches a single window NCC Integrated Software for Cadets.

In a significant move towards promoting digitization and in alignment with the Digital India mission, Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh launched the NCC Integrated Software in New Delhi on 07 July 2023. Developed in collaboration with Bhaskaracharya Institute for Space Applications and Geo-Informatics (BISAG), the NCC Integrated Software is a comprehensive and interactive platform designed on the ‘Entry to Exit Model’ for NCC cadets.

NCC Integrated Software for Seamless Digitalization

The NCC Integrated Software is a groundbreaking initiative that aligns with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of “Once a Cadet always a cadet.” It aims to digitalize the entire process from cadet enrollment to alumni registration in the NCC. This single-window interactive software streamlines administrative tasks, facilitates the seamless issuance of certificates, and creates a nationwide database of NCC cadets, ensuring efficient management and easy access to their records. The software further supports the cadets’ employment journey, making their transition into various opportunities more streamlined and efficient.

SBI Partnership for Financial Inclusion and Digitization

During the launch event, the NCC and State Bank of India (SBI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of Raksha Mantri to open zero balance accounts for all NCC Cadets under SBI’s “Pahli Udaan” scheme. This partnership will provide approximately 5 lakh cadets annually with access to banking services, including debit cards, checkbooks, and passbooks. The accounts will remain functional throughout the cadets’ training period or until they turn 18, introducing them to the national banking system. Moreover, the accounts will facilitate the direct transfer of funds through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme, enabling cadets to avail themselves of other government schemes seamlessly.
