Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh joined soldiers in Leh to celebrate the vibrant festival of Holi on March 24, 2024. Addressing the soldiers, Singh expressed gratitude for their selfless service in safeguarding the nation’s borders, emphasizing Ladakh’s significance as India’s capital of bravery. He likened Ladakh’s valor to Delhi’s national status, Mumbai’s financial prominence, and Bengaluru’s technological advancements.
Singh highlighted the soldiers’ pivotal role in ensuring the nation’s security, enabling citizens to lead peaceful lives with their families. He reiterated the country’s indebtedness to the Armed Forces and hailed their courage as an inspiration for future generations.
The Raksha Mantri emphasized his decision to celebrate Holi with soldiers a day in advance, advocating for a new tradition where festival celebrations commence with the protectors of the nation. He urged the Chiefs of the three Services to integrate such celebrations with soldiers across diverse landscapes, from snowy peaks to scorching plains and deep seas.
