Co-Chairing the 21st IRIGC-M&MTC Meeting in Moscow
On December 10, 2024, Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh will co-chair the 21st India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military and Military Technical Cooperation (IRIGC-M&MTC) alongside Russian Defence Minister Mr. Andrey Belousov. This meeting will provide an opportunity to:
- Review Defence Cooperation: Discuss the full spectrum of military relations, including military-to-military ties and industrial collaboration between the two nations.
- Regional and Global Issues: The leaders will also exchange views on contemporary regional and global issues of mutual concern, strengthening bilateral security and diplomatic ties.
Commissioning of INS Tushil in Kaliningrad
A highlight of Raksha Mantri Singh’s visit will be the commissioning of the INS Tushil, India’s latest multi-role stealth-guided missile frigate, on December 9, 2024 at Yantra Shipyard, Kaliningrad. This important event will be accompanied by the Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, and marks a significant milestone in the India-Russia naval cooperation.
Paying Tribute at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh will also take time during his visit to pay homage to the Soviet soldiers who lost their lives during World War II.
