Primarily an actor who works in Telugu films, Ram Pothineni was born on 15 May 1988. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South for his acting debut in the box office success Devadasu (2006). He has two Filmfare Awards South and one SIIMA Award to his credit. He starred in the commercial and critical success of Ready (2008) after his debut.
A series of commercial failures were followed by success with Kandireega (2011). Pothineni’s notable works also include Pandaga Chesko (2015), Nenu Sailaja (2016), Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi (2017), Hello Guru Prema Kosame (2018), iSmart Shankar (2019), and Red (2021).
Career:-
Pothineni made his first appearance in the Tamil language short film Adayaalam in 2002, where he played an 18-year-old drug addict. In 2006, he made his theatrical debut with Devadasu. Sukumar directed Jagadam, his second film, opposite Isha Sahani.
He then appeared in the film Ready alongside Genelia D’Souza, which was directed by Srinu Vaitla and was a commercial success. In 2009, he released Maska and Ganesh: Just Ganesh. Pothineni had only one release in 2010, Rama Rama Krishna Krishna, which was produced by Dil Raju and directed by Srinivas.
