Ayodhya: In a remarkable display of devotion, over 500,000 people visited the Ram temple in Ayodhya on Tuesday, a day after the consecration ceremony on January 22. The newly-constructed temple’s doors opened to the public at 6 am, and the last entry was permitted until 10 pm.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, cognizant of the massive turnout, directed officials to ensure effective crowd management. His emphasis was on providing devotees with a conducive environment to offer prayers to Ram Lalla.
CM Yogi Adityanath, in his appeal to the public, requested cooperation with officials and advised patience. This, he believed, would enable everyone to have a chance for a peaceful ‘darshan’ of the deity. The response from the public was overwhelming, indicating the significance of the temple in the hearts of the devotees.
To facilitate smooth operations and crowd control, magistrates were strategically deployed by the Ayodhya district magistrate at eight locations in the city. Despite occasional challenges where the crowd seemed uncontrollable, prompt actions by the police personnel and officials swiftly brought the situation under control. Devotees were organized to ensure a disciplined and orderly ‘darshan.’
The immense turnout stands as a testament to the deep-rooted faith and reverence the devotees hold for Lord Ram and the newly constructed temple. The successful management of such a large gathering is a reflection of the meticulous planning and execution by the authorities, ensuring that the historic occasion remains spiritually enriching for all who participated.
As the doors of the Ram temple continue to remain open for devotees, it marks a new chapter in Ayodhya’s spiritual journey, drawing people from all walks of life to partake in the divine atmosphere and seek the blessings of Lord Ram Lalla.
