It was the first large-scale film studio complex in India, and is home to a museum, multiplex cinema halls, wildlife parks, and many other attractions. Ramoji Film City was established in the year 2000 by Ramoji Rao, owner of Eenadu (English: Daily) Group . Eenadu is a Telugu language daily newspaper in India.

It’s about two hours away by road and you can reach there via the Nagarjuna-sagar road. It’s best to take a cab if you’re going there by yourself. The nearest bus stop is around 3 km away but there’s no public transport available there. Ramoji Film City can be reached by the Inner Ring Road and Hyderabad’s outer ring road. The nearest railway station is Hyderabad Deccan and the nearest airport is Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

Entry fee is Rs.150 for adults and children below 12 years of age, Rs.50 for children between the age of 13-18 years, and senior citizens are applicable for free entry.

The food options in Ramoji Film City are very limited. There are only two restaurants and they both offer vegetarian cuisine. The restaurant charges an entry fee of INR 2000 which is refunded if you spend over INR 3000.

Don ’t take a selfie with the artificial deer. It will cost you Rs 30 and the deer is made of cheap materials that have no relevance in the ecosystem.
