February 14, 2019, is a day that will always be remembered as one of the darkest days in the history of India. On this day, a convoy of vehicles carrying security personnel on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was attacked by a vehicle-borne suicide bomber in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The attack resulted in the death of 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and left many others injured. The entire nation was shocked and saddened by this cowardly act of terrorism, which was claimed by the Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed.
The convoy was carrying around 2,500 personnel and was on its way to Pulwama when a car loaded with explosives rammed into one of the buses, causing a massive explosion. The attack was carried out by a local youth from Pulwama, who was radicalized by Jaish-e-Mohammed and had joined the terrorist organization.
