Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix period drama series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar” has been renewed for a second season. The new season will follow the courtesans’ journey from Lahore to the film industry after the partition.
“They leave Lahore after the partition, with most of them settling in the film industries of Mumbai or Kolkata. Their journey in the bazaar continues—they still dance and sing, but now for producers instead of nawabs. That’s the second season we are planning; let’s see where it goes,” Bhansali announced.
The second season is slated to start production in 2026 after Bhansali completes his upcoming project “Love And War.” Fans eagerly await the continuation of this captivating saga, exploring the transformation of courtesans in the evolving entertainment industry.
