Gang Raped in Gwalior: In a shocking and reprehensible incident, a class 10 girl in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, became the victim of a brutal abduction, assault, and gang rape. The incident, which occurred on January 29, has sparked widespread condemnation and calls for justice.
Jyotiraditya M. Scindia expressed his deep sadness and condemnation, stating, “The inhuman incident that happened with an innocent girl in Gwalior is extremely sad, unfortunate, and condemnable.” After consulting with the Superintendent of Police in Gwalior, Scindia assured the girl and her parents of his unwavering support and commitment to ensuring justice. Two of the three criminals involved have been apprehended, with efforts ongoing to capture the third.
Scindia directed a plea to Honorable Chief Minister Shri Mohan Yadav, urging an immediate and thorough investigation. He emphasized the necessity of imposing the harshest punishment on those responsible for such inhuman acts.
The police report indicates that the girl was abducted, assaulted, and gang-raped on her way to coaching. The perpetrators, identified but currently absconding, callously threw her from a bridge after the assault.
Investigating officer Yashwant Goyal revealed the grim details, stating that the victim suffered fractures in her ribs and legs, along with deep wounds in her private parts. The girl, in serious condition, was admitted to a hospital in Gwalior.
