Important Dates for SSC CGL 2024
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has commenced the online registration process for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2024 from June 24. The last date to apply is July 24, with fee payment accepted until July 25. Candidates can make corrections in their applications from August 10 to 11.
Examination Schedule
- Tier 1 exam: Tentatively scheduled for September-October.
- Tier 2 exam: Tentatively scheduled for December 2024.
Age Limit and Educational Qualification
Age limits vary from 18 to 30 years, 20 to 30 years, 18 to 32 years, or 18 to 27 years based on the post applied. Educational qualifications are specific to each post, and detailed in the notification.
Application Fee and Fee Exemptions
The fee for applying to SSC CGL 2024 is Rs 100. Women candidates and those from SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen categories are exempt from payment.
Selection Process and Qualifying Marks
Candidates will undergo a two-tier computer-based examination followed by document verification. Minimum qualifying marks are set at 30% for unreserved, 25% for OBC and EWS, and 20% for other categories. The maximum permissible error is 20% for unreserved, 25% for OBC and EWS, and 30% for other categories.
Prospective applicants are advised to refer to the official notification for detailed eligibility criteria and syllabus for the examination. This year’s SSC CGL aims to recruit candidates across various government positions, offering a significant opportunity for aspiring graduates to embark on a promising career path.
