The PM will visit Paris from 13-14 July at the invitation of Emmanuel Macron, President of France.

PM Modi will pay an official visit to France and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 13-15 July 2023, signifying the significance of bilateral relationships and fostering partnerships between nations. This visit is expected to pave the way for enhanced cooperation across various sectors and address global challenges collectively.

The Prime Minister will commence his visit in Paris from 13-14 July 2023, following an invitation from H.E. Mr. Emmanuel Macron, the President of France. A highlight of the visit will be the Prime Minister’s presence as the Guest of Honour at the Bastille Day Parade on 14 July 2023, where a tri-services Indian armed forces contingent will participate, symbolizing the strong bond between India and France.

During his stay in Paris, “Prime Minister Modi will engage in formal talks with President Macron, focusing on further strengthening the bilateral relationship. President Macron will host a State Banquet and a private dinner in honor of the Prime Minister, exemplifying the warm and amicable ties between the two nations”.

PM Modi will seize the opportunity to engage with the Prime Minister of France, along with the Presidents of the Senate and the National Assembly of France. These interactions will serve to deepen mutual understanding and collaboration. Furthermore, the Prime Minister will engage with the Indian diaspora in France, CEOs of Indian and French companies, and prominent French personalities, aiming to foster stronger people-to-people ties and explore avenues for economic cooperation.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the India-France Strategic Partnership, and Prime Minister Modi’s visit holds significant importance in shaping the future trajectory of this partnership. The discussions will cover a wide range of sectors, including strategic, cultural, scientific, academic, and economic cooperation. The visit will provide an opportunity to chart a course for the partnership, setting the stage for continued collaboration and progress.

Following his visit to France, “Prime Minister Modi will travel to Abu Dhabi on 15 July. In Abu Dhabi, he will hold talks with H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE & Ruler of Abu Dhabi. The comprehensive strategic partnership between India and the UAE has been steadily evolving, and this visit will provide a platform to further strengthen ties in crucial areas such as energy, education, healthcare, food security, fintech, defense, and culture”.

The discussions between the Prime Minister and President Al Nahyan will also encompass cooperation on global issues, particularly in the context of the UAE’s Presidency of COP-28 of the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) and India’s G-20 Presidency, where the UAE is a Special Invitee. This collaboration will be vital in addressing pressing global challenges, demonstrating the shared commitment of both nations toward a sustainable and prosperous future.
