The Union Minister of Railways Announces New Train Service: Kashi Tamil Sangamam Express

Shri Ashwini Vaishnav, the Union Minister of Railways, Communications and Electronics & Information Technology, has announced a new train service, Kashi Tamil Sangamam Express, between Kashi and Tamil Nadu to commemorate the event.

The delegates from Tamil Nadu who were invited to witness the Kashi Tamil Sangamam interacted with him. The redevelopment plan of Varanasi Junction Railway Station was also inspected by him.

The eighth batch of delegates interacted with Shri Ashwini Vaishnav. The delegates shared their experiences of the tour and how well they were taken care of. The efforts of the Ministry of Indian Railways & IRCTC team who helped in making this event successful were lauded by him.

He said. “People-to-people exchange will bring traditions, knowledge, and culture closer together while building an understanding of shared heritage and strengthening ties between the people of these two regions,”

A new train service Kashi Tamil Sangamam Express between Kashi and Tamil Nadu was announced by Shri Vaishnav to commemorate the event. “The service will commence soon,” he said.

The redevelopment plans of Varanasi Junction Railway Station were reviewed by the Union Minister of Railways. Keeping future traffic increases in mind, he suggested planning the redevelopment of the station.

The Minister said that redeveloping the Varanasi Junction Railway Station into a world-class railway station is in line with the PM’s vision of making the railway station look like an airport terminal while inspecting the station. He added that about Rs 7 thousand crores would be spent in revamping the station to make it one of the best in the world. One can consume.

Shri Vaishnav said that the redevelopment would be done planning 50 years ahead.
