Borewell Incident: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has expressed profound sorrow and extended condolences to the family of Mayank, the innocent child who tragically fell into a borewell in Manika village, Rewa district.
Despite continuous and tireless efforts by the administration, the young life could not be saved. CM Yadav conveyed his deepest sympathies, stating, “The mind is filled with immense sorrow and pain. May God grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the family to bear this deep sorrow.”
In response to the tragedy, CM Yadav announced that the Red Cross has provided financial assistance of ₹4 lakh to Mayank’s family. He affirmed, “In this hour of grief, I and the Madhya Pradesh government stand with Mayank’s family.”
Furthermore, CM Yadav emphasized the need for accountability, directing the suspension of the CEO of District Tyonthar and the SDO of PHE Tyonthar. This action underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring accountability and transparency in matters of public safety.
Addressing preventive measures, CM Yadav urged all citizens to keep borewells covered to prevent such incidents in the future. This proactive approach aims to safeguard the well-being of children and prevent similar tragedies from occurring.
