America: A tragic incident unfolded in Kafue National Park as an enraged bull elephant, reportedly separated from its herd, chased a safari truck traveling at approximately 25 mph. Despite efforts to evade the animal, the elephant caught up to the vehicle and launched a vicious charge, causing the truck to overturn.
Reports from Wilderness Chief Executive Officer Keith Vincent indicate that while four individuals sustained minor injuries, one person suffered serious injuries, and tragically, an 80-year-old American tourist lost their life in the attack.
Vincent further elaborated that the driver of the safari truck was forced to slow down as the vehicle’s path became obstructed by vegetation, ultimately leading to the confrontation with the aggressive elephant.
The incident serves as a stark reminder of the inherent risks associated with wildlife encounters, emphasizing the importance of adhering to safety protocols and exercising caution while exploring natural habitats.
