Firecracker Factory Incident: Madhya Pradesh: A tragic incident unfolded in Madhya Pradesh’s Harda district as a fire erupted at a firecracker factory, claiming the lives of six people and injuring 60 others. The blaze, which triggered multiple explosions, sent shockwaves through the vicinity, instilling fear and chaos among residents.
Authorities swiftly responded to the emergency, rushing the injured to hospitals, where some were reported to be in critical condition. The intensity of the blasts was so severe that residents in the nearby Seoni Malwa area of Narmadapuram district felt tremors, highlighting the magnitude of the tragedy.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has taken cognizance of the incident, expressing deep sadness over the loss of lives. He assured that Minister Uday Pratap Singh and senior officials are en route to the site to assess the situation firsthand and coordinate rescue efforts.
In anticipation of the influx of casualties, medical colleges in Bhopal and Indore, along with burn units in AIIMS Bhopal, have been instructed to make necessary arrangements. Additionally, fire brigades from Indore and Bhopal have been mobilized to support firefighting operations.
Efforts to douse the flames are underway, with fire engines deployed to the scene. District Collector Rishi Garg confirmed ongoing rescue operations, further bolstered by the deployment of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to assist in the rescue and relief efforts.
