The Vice-President emphasized Thakur’s farsightedness, noting his significant reforms like implementing reservations and promoting Hindi in government offices. “He faced opposition and ridicule for these changes but was ahead of his time,” Dhankhar remarked. He also credited Thakur for making matriculation education free, prioritizing education for all.
