The son of Indian actors Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor is an Indian actor himself. Ekta Kapoor, his sister, is a television and film producer.
He attended the Bombay Scottish School where he and Abhishek Bachchan were in the same class. He then studied for his BBA degree at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Kapoor is a follower of Nichiren Buddhism, like his father. In June 2016, Kapoor became a single parent to Laksshya Kapoor through surrogacy after opting for IVF.
