Varanasi Airport Development: The Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Narendra Modi, greenlights the Airports Authority of India’s proposal to upgrade Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, Varanasi. The project aims to increase passenger handling capacity to 9.9 million per annum from the current 3.9 million, featuring a new terminal building designed for 6 million passengers per annum.
