Raipur: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, alongside Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, led the inauguration of 211 PM SHRI schools in Raipur, emphasizing the importance of holistic education. The event witnessed the unveiling of a Digital Library for Kendriya Vidyalaya and Virtual Reality labs for Navodaya Vidyalaya, underscoring the commitment to technological advancement in education.
In his address, Minister Dharmendra Pradhan expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for initiatives like PM SHRI, aimed at fortifying the country’s education ecosystem. He lauded the confidence and hard work of Chhattisgarh’s students, highlighting their critical thinking skills as essential for future success. Pradhan also praised the Chief Minister for prioritizing education in the state’s development agenda.
“Emphasizing the significance of learning in the mother tongue for holistic development, Minister Dharmendra Pradhan reiterated the principles outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. He highlighted the introduction of Balvatika in schools and emphasized the integration of skills, vocational studies, and extracurricular activities to supplement academic learning”.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for envisioning PM SHRI schools and reaffirmed the state’s commitment to enhancing its education system. Secretary Sanjay Kumar highlighted the improved infrastructure of PM SHRI schools, aligning with NEP 2020’s focus on critical thinking and skill development.
PM SHRI School, a centrally sponsored scheme, aims to develop over 14,500 schools providing a safe and stimulating learning environment for students. With a focus on holistic development and enhanced infrastructure, initiatives like PM SHRI are pivotal in shaping the future of education in India.
