On the occasion of Good Governance Day, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh launched the Extended Version of Mission Karmayogi at a function in New Delhi today. Three new features introduced on the iGOT Karmayogi platform include My iGOT, Blended Programs, and Curated Programs.
In addition to these features, the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology; MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy, and Space also inaugurated 12 domain-specific capacity-building e-learning courses. Dr Jitendra Singh also unveiled a new blended learning program called VIKAS (Variable & Immersive Karmayogi Advanced Support). Speaking at the event, he urged the optimum use of technology for the timely delivery of services to the common man.
Dr Jitendra Singh emphasized the need for civil servants to leverage the potential of the Digital Revolution and embrace the latest IT innovations to advance Digital Governance. He highlighted the focus on e-governance and a paperless office, resulting in a seamless flow of decision-making in the administration.
Underlining the importance of technology, Dr Jitendra Singh reiterated that civil servants must harness the potential of the Digital Revolution to advance Digital Governance. He stated that Mission Karmayogi aims to groom future civil servants, making them more technology-enabled, innovative, progressive, and transparent.
Dr Jitendra Singh noted that the Prime Minister has consistently emphasized the principle of ‘Maximum Governance and Minimum Government.’ He emphasized, “Technology is the key to Good Governance. Technology fosters transparency and hence accountability, which is the basic feature of good governance.”
