In a recent statement, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath acknowledged the formidable challenge of preventing deaths caused by road accidents in the state. Recognizing that a significant number of accidents are attributed to overspeeding and the lack of training among drivers, the Chief Minister underscored the need for concerted efforts in addressing this critical issue.
Emphasizing the importance of road safety and public awareness, CM Yogi Adityanath remarked, “With a little effort, valuable lives can be saved.” He urged for proactive measures to tackle the root causes of accidents and to promote responsible driving habits among citizens.
In a move towards enhancing road safety, the Chief Minister ceremonially flagged off a fleet comprising 50 buses, 38 interceptor vehicles, and 12 publicity vans from his official residence. These vehicles are expected to contribute to improved traffic management and increased vigilance on the roads.
Furthermore, in a bid to support the transition to eco-friendly transportation, CM Yogi Adityanath took a step towards promoting electric vehicles. He facilitated the transfer of grant amounts online to the accounts of 4,100 electric vehicle owners, encouraging the adoption of sustainable modes of transportation.
The comprehensive approach adopted by the Chief Minister, encompassing both preventive measures and support for environmentally friendly transportation, reflects a commitment to creating safer roads and fostering a culture of responsible driving in Uttar Pradesh.
