UP Government Focuses on Self-Reliance in Power Generation

UP Government: The Government of Uttar Pradesh, under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath, has underscored its commitment to achieving self-reliance in power generation. In a recent statement, the government highlighted plans to commence operations of new thermal power projects between July 2024 and August 2027.

According to the UP Government’s announcement, Uttar Pradesh is set to install 10 units of 5,255 MW capacity each, aimed at significantly boosting the state’s power generation capabilities. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to meet growing energy demands and reduce dependency on external sources.

“During this period, the state will commence power generation from new thermal power projects, scheduled between July 2024 and August 2027. Work is being done to install 10 units of 5,255 MW in the state,” stated the government.

CM Yogi Adityanath has been actively pursuing measures to strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s infrastructure and energy sectors. The emphasis on increasing thermal power capacity aligns with efforts to ensure uninterrupted power supply across industries, households, and agricultural sectors.

The UP Government’s initiative aims to bolster economic growth and development by fostering a robust energy infrastructure within the state. As Uttar Pradesh progresses towards self-reliance in power generation, these steps are expected to enhance industrial productivity and improve the quality of life for its residents.
