The Uttar Pradesh government, following the directive of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has embarked on an ambitious project to develop a ‘Mango Park’ in Lucknow. This unique park will span approximately 15 acres and feature 2068 plants representing 108 different species of mango.
As part of Mission Amrit 2.0, the park will showcase 108 varieties of mangoes, including popular types like Amrapali, Ambika, Dussehri, and Chaunsa. The government aims to present these varieties attractively and educationally.
Additionally, a Mango Museum is planned within the park, covering an area of 400 square meters. This museum will provide information about 775 different species of mangoes grown across India, enhancing visitors’ understanding and appreciation of this beloved fruit.
The creation of Mango Park is set to become a significant attraction in Lucknow, promoting biodiversity and serving as an educational resource for mango enthusiasts and the general public alike.
