Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, expressed profound sadness over the tragic incident that claimed the lives of 9 trekkers due to adverse weather conditions on the Sahastratal track. While addressing the press, he conveyed that the administration, along with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), district administration, and Air Force, has conducted rescue operations, successfully rescuing 13 trekkers.
Dhami affirmed, “The news of the death of 9 trekkers in an accident caused by bad weather on the Sahastratal track is very sad. The administration has rescued 13 trekkers safely by conducting a rescue operation, and rescue operations are being conducted with the help of SDRF, district administration, and Air Force to save others.”
Expressing heartfelt condolences, Dhami extended prayers for the departed souls and strength to the grieving families to endure the immense sorrow. He emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals involved in the incident.
Dhami added, “I pray to God to give peace to the souls of the deceased and strength to the bereaved family to bear this immense sorrow & for the speedy and safe release of the trapped trekkers.”
As rescue operations continue tirelessly, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh reassured the public of the government’s unwavering dedication to the rescue and relief efforts.
