‘THE SABARMATI REPORT’: Vikrant Massey, riding high on the success of his recent film ’12th Fail,’ has unveiled his next project. Titled ‘The Sabarmati Report,’ the film will delve into the tragic burning of the Sabarmati Express in Godhra, Gujarat, precisely 22 years ago on February 22, 2002.
Massey introduced the film through a brief video clip. Portraying the character of journalist Shravan Kumar, he depicts the pivotal moment of breaking the news of the Godhra incident. Initially stumbling over the teleprompter’s assertion of it being an accident, his character firmly refutes this claim, asserting it was no mere accident.
The team behind the film, including Ekta Kapoor, Vikrant Massey, Ridhi Dogra, and Raashii Khanna, aims to honor the memory of those who lost their lives in the tragic Godhra train burning incident with this intriguing narrative.
Directed by Ranjan Chandel, ‘The Sabarmati Report’ is set to hit cinemas on May 3, 2024.
With its intriguing narrative, ‘The Sabarmati Report’ stands as a testament to the resilience of those affected and serves as a reminder of the importance of seeking justice and understanding in times of adversity.
