In a recent address to National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers at the Parliament House, Vice-President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar praised the remarkable contributions of girls and female participants, highlighting their exponential growth, commitment, and involvement in various walks of life. He emphasized the crucial role that girls play as a qualitative premium component of the youth power in the nation.
Vice-President Dhankhar expressed his delight at the recent milestone of implementing one-third reservation for women in Parliament and State Legislature, labeling it a historic step towards gender inclusivity and empowerment. This move is expected to pave the way for increased representation of women in the decision-making processes of the country.
Reflecting on the present state of the nation, Shri Dhankhar noted the elimination of corruption and middlemen, creating a conducive environment for the youth to realize their potential. He highlighted the shift from the autocracy of corruption to the meritocracy of democracy, emphasizing the ample opportunities available to the youth in the present ecosystem.
Addressing the youth as the foot soldiers and architects of Bharat in 2047, Vice-President Dhankhar encouraged the NSS volunteers to embrace innovation, focus on research and entrepreneurship, and always prioritize the nation’s interests. He envisioned a future where the youth play a pivotal role in shaping the destiny of the country.
