A trough extending from south Odisha to Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, alongside another trough from Marathwada to Comorin Area, is expected to bring scattered to widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds to several areas.

- Gangetic West Bengal may experience scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds from March 17th to 21st, with the possibility of hailstorms and squalls on March 17th.
- Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Vidarbha, and East Madhya Pradesh are likely to witness scattered to widespread rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning from March 17th to 21st, with isolated hailstorms.
- Odisha and Chhattisgarh may see isolated heavy rainfall on March 19th.

- Maximum temperatures are expected to be above normal in isolated pockets of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, West Bengal, east Vidarbha, Telangana & Tamil Nadu and remain so for the next 4-5 days.
- Hot and humid weather is likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal for the next 2 days, and Kerala & Mahe, Rayalaseema for the next 5 days.
- Expect a decrease in maximum temperatures by 2-3°C over Central and East India in the coming 4-5 days.
- Gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 2-4°C is expected over West & Northwest India during the next 4-5 days.
- There are no significant alterations expected in the maximum temperatures across the remainder of the country over the next five days.
