Weather Forecast and Warnings for the Next 5 Days: February 20th to 24th, 2024

The Western Disturbance, manifesting as a cyclonic circulation over north Pakistan and neighboring regions, will trigger a series of weather phenomena across different parts of India.

On February 20th and 21st, the Western Himalayan Region is likely to experience widespread light to moderate rainfall and snowfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. Heavy rainfall and snowfall are forecasted for isolated areas in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh on the 20th, along with the possibility of hailstorms in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Haryana-Chandigarh.

Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, and East Uttar Pradesh will witness isolated to scattered rainfall on the 20th and 21st, with thunderstorms and gusty winds likely in some areas.

Northeast India is expected to see widespread light to moderate rainfall and snowfall from the 20th to the 23rd, with isolated heavy precipitation in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on specific dates.

On February 21st and 22nd, West Bengal, Sikkim, and Bihar will experience isolated to scattered rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds, with the potential for heavy rainfall in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Additionally, isolated thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds are anticipated over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Gangetic West Bengal on various dates throughout the forecast period.
