Weather: As we look ahead to the next five days, various weather systems are set to influence different regions across India, bringing a mix of precipitation, thunderstorms, and other meteorological phenomena.
Western Disturbance Impact:
A Western Disturbance, accompanied by a cyclonic circulation, is expected to affect the Western Himalayan Region from February 29th onwards, extending its impact to the plains of northwest India from March 1st to 3rd. During its peak intensity on March 1st and 2nd, widespread light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning are likely over the Western Himalayan Region.
Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and north Madhya Pradesh may experience scattered to fairly widespread rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds on March 1st and 2nd. Additionally, isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall/snowfall is anticipated over various regions, including Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Punjab, with the possibility of hailstorm activity in certain areas.
Central Parts of the Country:
A trough or confluence of winds in central parts of the country is likely to result in isolated light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning over Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh from March 1st to 5th. Isolated hailstorms are also expected over Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh on specific dates.
Eastern Regions:
A trough in westerlies will lead to isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall/snowfall over Arunachal Pradesh for the next seven days, with isolated thunderstorms and lightning on March 4th and 5th. Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura may experience isolated light to moderate rainfall during March 3rd to 6th.
Southern Regions:
Hot and humid weather conditions are forecasted over Kerala for the next two days, while Rayalaseema is expected to experience similar conditions from March 1st to 4th.
