Weather Forecast: Cyclones, Rainfall, and Temperature Trends

Weather: A detailed weather forecast for the period of April 11th to April 15th, 2024, encompasses various meteorological phenomena affecting different regions of India.

Cyclonic circulations over southwest Rajasthan and east Bihar, along with troughs and wind discontinuities, are expected to bring isolated to scattered rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, and Madhya Maharashtra from April 11th to April 13th. Squally winds reaching up to 50-60 kmph, gusting to 70 kmph, are likely in isolated places in Madhya Pradesh on April 11th and 12th.

Similarly, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands are anticipated to experience isolated light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning during the same period.

In the southern regions, including Telangana, Kerala & Mahe, and Interior Karnataka, isolated light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds is forecasted for the next 7 days. Coastal Andhra Pradesh-Yanam, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry-Karaikal can expect similar weather conditions from April 11th to April 15th.

Hailstorm activity is also likely at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Marathwada during April 11th and 12th.

Furthermore, an intense Western Disturbance and moisture feeding from the Arabian Sea are expected to bring isolated light rainfall/snowfall over Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand on April 11th and 12th. Widespread light to moderate rainfall/snowfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds is forecasted for the region from April 13th to April 15th.

Additionally, Northwest Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan can expect scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds from April 13th to April 15th.

Heatwave conditions are expected over Odisha on April 15th, while hot and humid weather prevails over various regions including Kerala & Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Coastal Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha from April 11th to April 15th.
