Additionally, isolated to scattered rainfall is expected over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan from April 18-21, 2024.
Furthermore, isolated hailstorms and heavy rainfall/snowfall are likely in specific regions during this period. Strong surface winds are forecasted for Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh on April 16-17, 2024.
As the intense Western Disturbance moves towards Northeast India, widespread rainfall/snowfall is anticipated in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam & Meghalaya from April 16-22, 2024, accompanied by isolated thunderstorms and heavy rainfall. Isolated hailstorms are also possible in these regions on April 20, 2024.
A cyclonic circulation over the Gulf of Mannar will bring scattered to widespread rainfall over Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Lakshadweep from April 18-22, 2024. Isolated heavy rainfall is expected in Kerala on April 18-19, 2024.
Maximum temperatures yesterday were above normal in several regions, with isolated heatwave conditions expected in Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, north Konkan, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Telangana during specific dates from April 16-20, 2024. Hot and humid weather is forecasted for various coastal regions and Rayalaseema on April 16, 2024.
