Weather Forecast: Rainfall and Hot Weather in Various Regions

Weather: The upcoming weather patterns present a diverse range of conditions across different regions of India over the next five days. Here’s a breakdown of the forecast:

  1. Western Disturbance Impact: A Western Disturbance, manifested as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies, is expected to influence regions along Long. 65°E to the north of Lat. 32°N. This will likely result in isolated light rainfall/snowfall over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand on 7th March 2024.
  2. Cyclonic Circulation in Odisha and West Bengal: A cyclonic circulation situated over south Odisha in lower tropospheric levels will bring isolated light rainfall over Odisha from 7th to 9th March. Additionally, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim may experience isolated light rainfall on 7th and 8th March.
  3. Cyclonic Circulation in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh: Another cyclonic circulation over east Assam, combined with the eastward movement of the current Western Disturbance, will lead to scattered light/moderate rainfall/snowfall over Arunachal Pradesh in the next 24 hours. Isolated light rainfall/snowfall is expected in the subsequent six days.
  4. Upcoming Western Disturbance: A fresh Western Disturbance is forecasted to impact the Western Himalayan Region from the night of 10th March. This will result in isolated to scattered light/moderate rainfall/snowfall over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh, as well as isolated rainfall/snowfall over Uttarakhand during 10th to 13th March 2024.
  5. Hot and Humid Weather: Rayalaseema and Kerala are expected to experience hot and humid weather conditions over the next 24 hours.
